This Hallelujah hymn praises the Helper of the needy, who reigns forever with authority over all powers and kings. Wherever our lives take us, our Helper is the Lord who came to earth to proclaim liberty to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed.
